Slipperfield Quarry
Stonepack Ltd supplies multifunctional renders, dry dashing spars, decorative gravels and sand and gravel to the construction and landscaping industry. In the last year Stonepack has processed and sold over 200,000 tonnes from sites in Forfar, Angus and Broxburn in West Lothian. The company has grown considerably since 2006, and has invested heavily in some of the most advanced packaging equipment to be found in the industry. Not to mention running a fleet of HGVs to keep delivery schedule second to none.
With three automated packaging lines Stonepack is able to process and package up to 12,000 25kg sacks in one shift.
In order to secure a suitable supply of aggregates, and safeguard its operations at the Broxburn plant, Stonepack is seeking planning permission to work a medium to long-term reserve of sand and gravel. A Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) was undertaken, during October and November 2020, in advance of the submission of a planning application to Scottish Borders Council.
Stonepack invited comment from all interested parties, via Dalgleish Associates, for consideration in the finalisation of the planning application.
